Just Dance: Decades of Hits arrives on Nintendo Switch on October 13 with a reason to keep dancing beyond a single song selection. Its Adventure mode follows Lyra through six decade-themed worlds on a mission to rescue Dr. Gigavolt. That structure gives a casual living-room session a journey that players can return to.
The relevant release date depends on the console. Nintendo lists the Nintendo Switch 2 edition for November 10, with a free upgrade from the Switch version that requires an internet connection. Buying the available edition and downloading the dedicated Switch 2 version later are separate steps.
What changes for a living-room session
Up to six people can take part, with Party and Workout modes providing alternatives to the adventure. A compatible smartphone app can serve as the controller. Before inviting everyone over, set up the phones, check the connection and leave enough clear space for each player. The advertised player count does not remove those practical requirements.
The musical selection spans different audiences with tracks including Mamma Mia, Wannabe, Bye Bye Bye and NUEVAYoL. A cross-generation selection can be useful when a group does not share one musical taste. It should not be read as a promise that every track from earlier Just Dance releases is included; check the actual song list before purchasing for a particular favorite.
A free trial is not the full game
Just Dance Experience offers a way to try the format. It is not unrestricted free access to Decades of Hits. Trying the available content first answers questions that a feature list cannot: whether the phone setup suits the household, whether motion tracking feels comfortable and whether there is enough space to play.
The US storefront price is not a confirmed Mexican eShop price. Open the store using your account region and check the edition, storage requirements and upgrade conditions before paying. For a one-weekend activity, the trial provides a useful first check. The complete adventure requires the corresponding game purchase. That distinction matters more than treating every download labelled free as the same kind of offer.
