Battlefield 6 offers a paid option to skip part of the progression: the Ultimate Shortcut Kit provides immediate access to fully upgraded weapons and attachments. The announcement distinguishes this shortcut from EA Play benefits, whose members receive a 10% discount on its purchase.
The kit is also part of Battlefield 6 Game of the Year Edition, along with a season of Battlefield Pro, the Phantom Pack, and a Trusted Reserve Pax soldier skin. That edition is not included in the EA Play subscription: having access to the game through the service is not the same as receiving that bundle.
For subscribers, the announced rewards include a Deployment Pack for new players who have not claimed it, a pack for season 5, and recurring seasonal benefits. The season 5 pack can be claimed until 18 in January.
These benefits accompany Battlefield 6’s addition to EA Play’s The Play List. The distinction for those who join through the subscription is clear: access to the game and member rewards are one thing; the progression shortcut is offered as an additional purchase at a discount.
