Grand Theft Auto VI still has a November 19, 2026 release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on Rockstar’s website. The company places Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across Leonida after an apparently simple job goes wrong. The return to Vice City is part of the setting; the official presentation describes a broader state and network of characters.
Jason grew up around criminals, served in the military, and ended up working for local drug dealers in the Keys. Lucia gets out of prison intending to change her circumstances through a plan. Rockstar presents the pair’s mutual reliance as the heart of the conflict: their decisions don’t happen in isolation, but within a relationship under pressure.
The cast connects crime, business, and music
The character presentation includes Brian Heder, who is tied to smuggling in the Keys, and Raul Bautista, a robber looking for people willing to take risks. In Vice City, Boobie Ike combines business dealings with his investment in the Only Raw Records label alongside Dre’Quan Priest. Real Dimez adds another connection to the music scene and the pursuit of fame.
Our reading of those descriptions is that Rockstar is building different paths to advancement and dependence within the same setting. A legitimate business, a music career, and a criminal operation can share contacts and interests in the fiction presented. That provides more context than reducing the game to “two protagonists who steal,” without turning the promotional biographies into a list of confirmed missions.
The official gallery also distinguishes Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga. The variety of names and settings suggests the geographic scope of the world, but it doesn’t in itself provide a measure of the map or how long it will take to explore. A screenshot can identify a location shown; it doesn’t reveal all the activities that will be available there.
What’s announced and what’s still missing for PC
The launch platforms listed on the main page are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There’s no PC release date on that page. A computer’s specifications for running the game can’t be inferred from the quality of a trailer, either: information about a PC version and its requirements would be needed.
The official materials include the two trailers and an expanded presentation published on August 27. In September, Rockstar also announced an album associated with the game featuring 34 original tracks and a collection of physical items. It’s worth distinguishing that material, the game editions, and the collectible items when comparing products that carry the GTA VI brand.
The news from AnyPS5 doesn’t change Rockstar’s schedule, either. Its public test with another game doesn’t demonstrate compatibility with GTA VI. Linking the two announcements as an already-established way to play it on a computer would conflate compatibility research with a product that hasn’t been released yet.
What can be followed from now on is the relationship between the protagonists, locations, and systems Rockstar officially reveals. That information helps explain what the game offers without turning every image into an unsubstantiated promise about size, performance, or freedom of action.
