Olympia won the 2026 Universal de Amazonas by defeating Skadi at Arena México on Friday, October 16. CMLL confirmed the result of the final, which closed a women’s card and ended with the winner celebrating with the belt in front of fellow competitors.

A powerbomb settled the match. After the count, attention shifted from the action to the presentation, with Gala Luteroth taking part in the ceremony. For Olympia, a place in the main event became an individual achievement on a particularly visible night for CMLL’s Amazonas division.

A tournament win, not a world title change

The name of the prize needs a little context. Winning the Universal does not mean taking the CMLL World Women’s Championship or replacing its holder. It is the distinction awarded by the Universal de Amazonas tournament, which has its own final and winner. Keeping those records separate explains why another women’s championship match can appear on the next card.

Persephone is still scheduled to defend the world title against AZM on Sunday, October 18. The weekend therefore contains two separate stories: Olympia has won the Universal, while the following show will put a different belt on the line. No unification between those competitions has been announced.

Her own result within a wrestling family

Olympia is El Valiente’s daughter and teams with Hera as Las Valientitas. That family connection is part of her identity, but this final provides a result that stands on its own: she was the wrestler who finished the deciding match against Skadi in CMLL’s main arena.

There is also a useful distinction between competing as part of a team and carrying a singles final. In the latter, the finish and the recognition rest with one wrestler. That is the sporting significance of the night, beyond treating the victory only as the continuation of a family name.

Three details matter when following the division from here: the final took place on October 16, Skadi was the opponent and the prize was the 2026 Universal de Amazonas. The win does not automatically establish a new rivalry or guarantee another title match. Those developments will need to appear on subsequent official cards.
