Chivas and Nike unveiled the third kit for the 2026-27 season, a black uniform with gold details inspired by charrería. For fans who want to buy it in Mexico, early access will begin on 20 of October, and general sales will start on 26.
The design draws on elements of the charro suit and incorporates them into the jersey: a pattern based on the embroidery of piteado belts runs across the chest and sleeves. Instead of the traditional red-and-white stripes, this third option goes for a contrast between black and gold.
A reference to Guadalajara’s history appears at the center of the chest, where a crest used in 1908, with the letters C and G intertwined, is featured. Players’ names and numbers will use a custom typeface, also inspired by the aesthetics of charrería.
Where to buy it in Mexico
Early access on 20 of October will be available on Nike’s website and app, at Nike Andares, and at the Chivas Store at Estadio Akron. Starting on 26 of October, the general release will include selected Nike stores and the Chivas Store at Plaza del Sol.
The unveiling is accompanied by the Herencia Sagrada campaign, featuring escaramuzas and charros. The club and Nike present it as a tribute to those who keep this tradition alive and as a link between the uniform’s inspiration and Guadalajara’s identity.
