NVIDIA enabled DLSS 4.5 controls on GeForce NOW. The new feature lets users adjust image quality and performance in supported games through the cloud service, without needing the latest local hardware to access these features.
The settings are in the GeForce NOW app settings for Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and SteamOS. The available options depend on the title and membership tier: not all users will have access to the same set of options.
The package includes DLSS Super Resolution, focused on image quality; Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, for frame generation; and Ray Reconstruction, which affects ray-traced effects. NVIDIA presents these controls as a way to prioritize image quality, responsiveness, or a balance between the two, although its announcement does not provide independent measurements of the improvements.
The widest set of options is available to Ultimate members playing through cloud systems with GeForce RTX 5080. In that case, NVIDIA confirms Dynamic Multi Frame Generation up to 4X. That condition applies to the service’s remote system, not a card users need to install in their computers.
Among the supported games highlighted by the company are 007 First Light, which now supports path tracing, CONTROL Resonant, and Resident Evil Requiem. The availability of the controls does not mean that all titles in the catalog include the same features.
