Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 will leave the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs on November 17, 2026. For those playing them through the subscription, that date marks the end of access: the games’ removal does not mean losing a purchase, but it does mean distinguishing between having a game installed and having a license to keep using it.

In the case of GTA V, the removal includes the PS4 and PS5 versions; for Red Dead Redemption 2, it is the PS4 edition. Both are part of a catalog refresh that will also remove other titles from different genres.

What changes for your library

Downloading them before November 17 will not let you keep access through the subscription after they leave. If you rely on the catalog to play them, you will need to buy them to continue playing once they are removed. By contrast, games you have already bought or have a permanent entitlement to will not be lost because of this change.

Other titles listed as leaving at the same time include Football Manager 26 Console, The Talos Principle 2, Cricket 24, Hotshot Racing, and Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break. The selection spans sports management, puzzles, and racing, so it’s worth checking those games you haven’t gotten to yet, too—not just the two Rockstar titles.

The “Last Chance to Play” section, available in the PlayStation Plus tab in the console menu, lets you check which titles are leaving soon. It’s a useful place to see which games in your catalog are affected before deciding which ones to spend time on.

The Rockstar games will be removed two days before the planned release of GTA VI, on November 19. The timing does not prove that the upcoming release is the reason for the decision: what is confirmed is that the games are leaving the catalog, not the commercial explanation behind it.
