PSG and Barcelona face off this Tuesday, 20 of October, at Parc des Princes, with a perfect start to the Champions League at stake: both won their first two matches and arrive at the third round of the league phase with six points. The match starts at 13:00, Central Mexico time.

For viewers in Mexico, the match is scheduled to be broadcast on HBO Max and TNT Sports. The Paris showdown pits two teams against each other that have shown their scoring ability at the start of the tournament, but now face a direct test against another team with a winning record.

The team coached by Luis Enrique opened its campaign with a rout at home against Slovan Bratislava and then beat Manchester City away. Barcelona also won its matches against Feyenoord and Galatasaray. That means either team can reach nine points with a win; a draw would leave both on seven.

The most recent head-to-head result favors PSG: in last season’s league phase, it won 2-1 at Barcelona. However, the Catalan side’s two most recent visits to Paris ended with one win and one draw for the visitors, in contrast to PSG’s dominance in their most recent meetings in Barcelona.

For Hansi Flick’s team, the trip is also part of a demanding week: after the European match, it will play Real Madrid in El Clásico in LaLiga. Barcelona arrives unbeaten in league and Champions League play, while PSG will look to extend its perfect European record by making the most of home advantage.
