Raúl Rangel reached 100 Liga BBVA MX matches with Chivas’ first team during the 1-1 draw against Atlas in Matchday 11 of the Apertura 2026. The milestone marks a new stage in the career of the goalkeeper developed in Guadalajara’s youth academy, three years after his first-division debut.
In the tally published by the club, the century is divided into 93 regular-season appearances and seven in the Liguilla, with 8,926 minutes played. The figure corresponds only to his league appearances with the red-and-white team, not the total number of matches in his career.
Guadalajara also credits him with 34 clean sheets in those 100 matches: the team finished without conceding a goal in just over a third of the matches in which the goalkeeper played. It is one of the main defensive records marking this sporting anniversary.
It began on 1 in October 2023, when ‘Tala’ guarded Chivas’ goal against Toluca at Estadio Nemesio Diez. Now, at 26 years old, the academy product reaches the century mark with experience in both the regular schedule and the tournament’s final phase.
