Sergio “Checo” Pérez is scheduled to hold a show run on Paseo de la Reforma on Wednesday, October 28, starting at 10:00 a.m. General Motors México said the event with Cadillac will celebrate the driver’s 300 Grands Prix. It is separate from the static exhibition of a replica of the race car installed at Antara, which can be visited beforehand.

The distinction matters when planning an outing: seeing a car on display at a shopping center is not the same as attending a driving demonstration on Reforma, nor is it equivalent to going to the Mexico City Grand Prix. Both draw attention because of Checo and Formula 1, but they have different locations, dates and access conditions that should be checked separately.

What is confirmed for Reforma

GM’s announcement, published on September 29, schedules the show run for October 28 starting at 10:00. It also announces Marcin Budkowski’s participation in the program. The time indicates the planned start of the event; it does not mean the race car will be driving continuously throughout the morning.

In that announcement, the company says it will provide details about the route and access in later communications. That is why we are not publishing an improvised map, an entrance gate or a spectator area as if they were already official. If you plan to attend, the most useful pending information will be the specific event plan, not a route reconstructed from exhibitions in other years.

The replica at Antara is a different visit

El Financiero reported on October 8 that Checo’s Cadillac replica will be on display at Antara until October 17. The shopping center is located at Ejército Nacional 843, in the Granada area of Mexico City. The display lets visitors take a close look at the race car’s design without waiting for the Reforma show run.

The word replica matters: this is not confirmation that the chassis that competes on track has been withdrawn from the championship for this exhibition. Likewise, the shopping center’s general hours alone do not guarantee that all special activities will be operating. Before heading out, check the venue’s notice for the date of your visit.

How to plan your outing without mixing up the events

For the static exhibition, note the October 17 end date and check the information from Antara. For Reforma, set aside the morning of the 28th and check for updates from Cadillac, GM México and mobility authorities when they publish the event plan. There is still no reason to assume that the streets, access points or stops will operate as they did in a previous edition.

You also should not assume that a Grand Prix ticket grants preferential access to the show run, or that visiting Antara requires the same kind of ticket. Each organizer must confirm those conditions. With the two events kept separate, you can choose between a visit to see the car’s design and a demonstration featuring the driver, without planning around details that have not yet been published.
