Gears of War: E-Day is now playable via streaming on GeForce NOW, NVIDIA confirmed in its October 8 update. It joins the service after the game’s global launch, which took place on Tuesday, October 6. The news offers another way to access the prequel: run it in the cloud without downloading the full game to your device.

The confirmation updates the October schedule previously reported by Vandal, which listed 25 games announced for the month, with E-Day among the planned titles. That coverage serves as background; the new information is that NVIDIA now explicitly says the game is available for streaming, not just included on a list of upcoming additions.

What Ultimate offers and which devices it supports

For Ultimate members, NVIDIA announces GeForce RTX 5080-class performance in the cloud, along with DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex technologies. These are capabilities described by the company, not the results of an independent test. The reference is to the service’s remote processing; it does not mean the user’s computer, phone, or laptop has that graphics card.

NVIDIA lists low-power laptops, Macs, mobile devices, gaming handhelds, and browsers, including Firefox, among the ways to access the service. It also identifies Steam and Xbox versions of E-Day and lists it as available on Game Pass. For anyone considering this option from Mexico, the announcement does not specify regional availability or local membership prices.

A prequel focused on Marcus and Dom

The story is set 14 years before the first Gears of War and follows Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago as the Locust Horde emerges. It begins on Emergence Day, with a plot devoted to the origins of their alliance. NVIDIA mentions campaign, co-op, and competitive modes in the streaming experience.

Ten additions, with dates that are not interchangeable

The weekly update includes ten games, seven of them new releases. In addition to E-Day, the list includes STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, Forever Ago, Order of the Sinking Star, Silver Pines, and Permafrost. The selection is rounded out by Graveyard Keeper 2, Solasta II, and Tyr, all identified as Steam titles in NVIDIA’s list.

The dates in the list correspond to releases on their respective stores: Galactic Racer is listed for October 6; Hellraiser, Forever Ago, Order of the Sinking Star, and Silver Pines for October 8; and Permafrost for October 9. NVIDIA cautions that their addition to GeForce NOW may be staggered throughout the week, so those dates do not confirm immediate access via streaming.

The schedule also includes a specific correction: the Xbox version of Dune: Awakening was not added in September as NVIDIA had anticipated and is still awaiting further news. To try the service, the company offers a one-day pass whose cost can be applied to a first monthly membership; the announcement does not provide a price in Mexican pesos.
