The Liga Femenil BBVA has its next matchday scheduled for October 17 to 20. The matchups include Rayadas against Cruz Azul, América against Pachuca and Chivas against Necaxa. The official schedule consulted on October 9 shows the matches following the tenth round, with Rayadas and América leading their respective groups.

Rayadas returns home after a comeback

The Monterrey team will host Cruz Azul on Saturday, October 17, at 19:00 at Estadio BBVA. Its most recent result was a 4–3 win over América on October 2: it went into halftime trailing 1–3 and scored three goals in the second half. The result is confirmed by both the league’s records and the club’s match report.

Valerie Vargas and Aerial Chavarin scored two goals each. According to Rayadas’ official account, Chavarin scored in the 47th and 52nd minutes to equalize; Vargas completed the comeback in the 57th. That stretch helps explain why the final score tells only part of the story: Monterrey was able to recover, although it had conceded three goals in the first half.

For the match against Cruz Azul, that sequence leaves two specific things to watch: Rayadas’ attacking ability and its defense’s response when the opponent reaches the penalty area. These are ways to read the match, not a prediction of the result or confirmation of the lineup.

América and Chivas: Dates to put on your calendar

América will host Pachuca on Sunday, October 18, at 19:00 at Estadio Banorte. Chivas will close out the matchday against Necaxa on Tuesday, October 20, at 21:07 at Estadio Akron. All these times are for Mexico City; if you’re following the matches from another part of the country, it’s a good idea to convert them before making plans.

The matchday begins with Puebla–Tijuana on Saturday, October 17, at 12:00. Sunday’s schedule also features Pumas–Atlas at 12:00, Atlético de San Luis–FC Juárez at 17:00 and Tigres–Querétaro at 18:06. We cannot confirm a broadcast: the channel and access conditions should be checked for each match, without automatically assuming the same offerings as for the men’s teams.

A new name and its own competition

The official name is Liga Femenil BBVA. BBVA announced the change on July 24, 2026, along with a new visual identity and adjustments to the competition’s organization. The previous name, Liga BBVA MX Femenil, still appears in archives and searches, but it is no longer the brand the league uses on its website.

The Apertura 2026 standings are presented in two groups. So, to follow a team, it’s useful to check its position within its group and the games played, as well as its points. A table with games in hand can change even if not all the clubs have played the same number of matches.
