Meme del Real will return to the Teatro Metropólitan on October 9. His official schedule continues in Guadalajara, at Sala 3 of Conjunto Santander on the 15th, and at Foro Arpa in Querétaro on the 17th. These are performances of his solo project, built around La Montaña Encendida.

The Mexico City date follows his February performance at the same venue. The interest goes beyond seeing a member of Café Tacvba on his own: the album offers a glimpse into compositional and production choices that now appear under his own name. That distinction is useful for approaching the concert with a concrete reference point for this phase of his career.

An album designed to hold together as a whole

In an interview with Nación Rock published in November 2025, Emmanuel del Real explained that he is interested in albums in which each song has a role in relation to the others. He compared that relationship to chapters that hold a work together, even when listeners have their favorites. This is not an interview conducted by evovo; we are drawing on his explanation to understand the project’s approach.

The idea changes how you prepare to listen. Going straight to the single lets you get to know a melody; listening through the whole album lets you recognize how the energy shifts from one track to another. It is a listening suggestion, not a claim that the concert will follow the exact order of the recording.

Electronics and instruments in the same search

In that conversation, Meme described a process that can begin with a guitar or piano and continue with rhythmic explorations, sequences, and electronic textures. He also noted Gustavo Santaolalla’s instrumental contributions during the album’s final phase. His method does not draw a rigid line between an acoustic song and one built in the studio.

That offers a concrete point to watch for in the live performance: how layers that may be separate or overlapping in a recording are carried over. The question is not only whether a familiar song is played, but which elements take center stage in a live venue.

Three cities, one solo phase

The musician’s website brings together the links for CDMX, Guadalajara, and Querétaro. Conjunto Santander lists its October 15 show at 21:00. Each venue has its own schedule; the time for one city should not be used to plan for the next.

To explore the repertoire before attending, his official page features videos of “Princesa,” “Embeces,” “Incomprensible,” “Mira,” and “Tumbos.” They offer an entry point to his solo work. Meme’s presence onstage does not make the event a Café Tacvba reunion or confirm any guests: what has been announced is the continuation of a musical exploration that already has an identity of its own.
