Meta Ray-Ban Display is scheduled to arrive in France, Italy, and Germany on Tuesday, October 13. The expansion was announced during Connect 2026, held on September 23, along with availability in the United Kingdom and Canada and new purchase options in the United States. For Mexico, the key difference is that the announcement does not give a local sales date for the Display model.

This can be confusing because Meta did announce the arrival of the Meta Glasses family in Mexico. But it shares the spotlight with lines that have similar names and different capabilities. An announcement about the company’s glasses does not mean that all its models, features, and accessories will be available at the same time in every country.

What sets the Display model apart

Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses integrate a color display into the lens and are also controlled with Meta Neural Band, a wristband that interprets muscle activity signals. The original September 2025 presentation described uses such as checking messages, previewing photos, getting visual assistance from Meta AI, and following directions. That display is the essential difference compared with audio glasses or Ray-Ban Meta glasses without a display.

The wristband does not require users to constantly touch the frame: it lets them enter commands with subtle finger movements. Meta’s explanation refers to muscle signals measured at the wrist, not mind reading. In addition, the interface is designed for brief consultations; it is not a promise to replace all phone apps.

New features have their own rollout schedule

Connect 2026 included announcements about navigation, apps, and communication for Display. These include new voice directions for cycling and public transit, with an initial rollout in the United States and Canada, and a visual representation of the user for WhatsApp calls that will arrive in early access in the United States.

The fact that these features were announced at the same event does not make them a package available in every country on October 13. The announcements describe rollouts over the following months, with regional limits. Before buying for a specific feature, check the country, language, and availability timing for that feature, as well as the glasses model.

What Meta did announce for Mexico

In its post about the 2026 lineup, Meta included Mexico among the new Meta Glasses markets starting September 23. It also introduced Ray-Ban Meta Audio and the third generation of Ray-Ban Meta as distinct products. Their features and international prices should not be attributed to Display as if they were all part of one product listing.

For anyone considering importing them, a price in dollars or euros does not represent the final cost in Mexico or confirm local support. The practical reference is the full product name and its availability page. Until Meta announces Display for Mexico, the European expansion is news about its international reach, not confirmation of a launch in our country.
